Delta suspends U.K. operations due to COVID-19

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, Delta has had to make some difficult decisions based on market demand and government guidelines. As such, Delta has suspended all operations between the U.K. and the United States.

We are adjusting our schedule worldwide in response to White House, State Department and CDC guidance while listening to where customers tell us they want to fly. Delta is currently maintaining a schedule of two services from Amsterdam: daily flights to Atlanta and non-daily flights to Detroit.

Delta’s partner Virgin Atlantic is operating a reduced schedule to the United States from London Heathrow, with daily flights to New York-JFK and Los Angeles.

Schedules are subject to change. For the latest Delta information, click here. For Virgin Atlantic, click here.

Greater flexibility to rebook through 2022

To make it easier for your customers to plan, rebook and change their travel plans that have been impacted by coronavirus, Delta has extended ticket validity, with eligible tickets now redeemable through May 31, 2022.

We are providing waived change fees and greater flexibility to travel through May 31, 2022, for customers who:

  • Have upcoming travel already booked in April or May 2020 as of April 3, 2020.
  • Have existing eCredits or canceled travel from flights in March, April or May 2020.

Meanwhile, new tickets purchased between March 1 and May 31, 2020, can be changed without a change fee for up to a year from the date of purchase.
