Five Reasons Why Atlanta Deserves Delta's Awesome Flagship A350

The countdown is on: only three weeks to go before Delta debuts its flagship Airbus A350 on nonstop service to Seoul-Incheon at its home base at the world’s largest airline hub operation at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Here’s five reasons why Atlanta deserves the cutting-edge A350 and what it brings:

  1. Because timing is everything — a retimed flight. When the A350 makes its first scheduled Atlanta departure, it will be at 12:05 a.m. on March 24, giving customers the entire day to conduct business or spend quality time with friends and family. Delta’s longtime Delta codeshare and proposed Joint Venture partner (pending final government approval) Korean Air’s existing Seoul-Incheon service will remain an early afternoon departure time, which maximizes customer choice for what best suits their needs.
  2. Maximum connections to points beyond in Asia. Thanks to seamless one-stop access to 80 onward destinations in Asia in partnership with Korean Air, getting to places like Kuala Lumpur or Jakarta can happen with ease.
  3. Suite parking available. There are 32 award-winning Delta One suites  on the A350, the world’s only fully enclosed business class seat product in the sky with the full line-up of Delta One perks. 48 Delta Premium Select seats are available featuring more personal space, TUMI amenity kits and other amenities.  226 main cabin seats offer personal inflight entertainment, lots of overhead bin space and complimentary spirits along with meals.
  4. Atlanta’s fulsome foodie scene continues onboard. Premium dining  in the Delta One suite as well as thoughtful selections in Delta Premium Select and throughout the main cabin, which were refreshed March 1.
  5. Those winglets, though? While they might only make aviation enthusiasts geek-out, they actually help make the A350 one of the most fuel-efficient and sustainable transoceanic aircraft in the world, burning far less fuel than previous generation long-haul aircraft like the Boeing 747.

Service from Atlanta to Seoul-Incheon on Delta's A350 aircraft begins March 24, 2018.
