Delta to Debut First Aircraft with all Four Seat Experiences, Beginning March 2019   

Customers booking travel on select transpacific routes will be able to choose from all four branded seat products – Delta One suites, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+® and Main Cabin – for the first time on board retrofitted 777 aircraft.

This move is the latest in Delta’s effort to offer a well-defined range of experiences for customers traveling for business, leisure or both. Offering all four seat experiences on one aircraft gives customers greater choice than ever before, allowing them to make more tailored plans.

The following transpacific flights featuring the newly modified 777 aircraft are now available for sale and will begin operating in March and April.

In addition to the four seat products, customers can look forward to a state-of-the-art interior featuring seat-back entertainment screens, full-spectrum LED ambient lighting and Gogo Ku Wi-Fi connectivity with free mobile messaging. Delta’s retrofitted 777s will also feature 18.5” wide Main Cabin seats – the widest of Delta’s international fleet.

Changes for Delta Comfort+ on Retrofitted 777 Aircraft

During a temporary period, Delta Comfort+ on the modified 777 in the above markets will not be available as a fare only as a post-purchase ancillary seat product via the GDS (Amadeus and Travelport), delta.com, Global Sales Support, and Delta Reservations. Delta plans to reinstate Delta Comfort+ as a fare to these routes in the near future

While Delta Comfort+ will not be available as a fare, customers will still be purchase Delta Comfort+ as a post-purchase ancillary seat product through the following channels:

·         For Travel Agencies using Amadeus or Travelport GDSs: Delta Comfort+ on the modified 777 aircraft, for impacted routes, will be available as a post-purchase ancillary seat product through the agency. Additionally, the post-purchase ancillary seat product may be purchased via Delta direct booking channels (delta.com, Global Sales Support, or Delta Reservations).

·         For Travel Agencies using any GDS other than Amadeus or Travelport: Delta Comfort + on the 777 aircraft, for the impacted routes, will only be available as an ancillary post-purchase seat product through Delta direct booking channels (delta.com, Global Sales Support, or Delta Reservations).

·         For all Corporate Travelers booking through an OBT: Delta Comfort+ will be available through delta.com, Delta Reservations or by calling their Travel Agency for assistance.

For Amadeus users who cannot post-purchase Delta Comfort + in the GDS, Delta offers a few options to best service your customers who would like to purchase Delta Comfort+ on the impacted routes, and who are authorized to buy Delta Comfort + as part of their Corporate Travel Policy:

·         Book your customer in Main Cabin via your GDS. Then direct your customer to go to delta.com or to call Delta Reservations to buy-up into Delta Comfort + as an ancillary product.

·         Book your customer in Main Cabin via your GDS. Then call Delta Reservations or Global Sales Support to post-purchase Delta Comfort + on behalf of your customer.

·         Offer Delta Premium Select (Delta’s International Premium Economy) seat product as a travel option.
