Question

Answer

Do we need to have the ticket reissued when there is a change to Delta’s schedule?

When you open the e-ticket, if the e-ticket coupon matches the schedule, this indicates that it has been revalidated and there is no need to get the ticket reissued.
However where it does not match, you will need to get the ticket for the confirmed itinerary reissued at no additional cost.

Is it possible to get a full refund due to a change in Delta’s schedule?

If one or more of the following cases applies, a full refund is possible.
- if the scheduled flight has been canceled and there is no similar Delta flight within 90 minutes of the initial departure time
- if the scheduled Delta flight departure time is changed by 90 minutes or more
- if the scheduled Delta flight is changed such that there are one or more additional stopovers from its initial itinerary
- if the itinerary of the scheduled flight changes such that the initially scheduled arrival time changes by 90 minutes or more
- if a Delta mainline aircraft is changed to a connected affiliate aircraft

If it appears that the connection time will be insufficient, how does one find out the minimum connection time (MCT)?

If the schedule for the departure – arrival point has been checked and confirmed, there is no problem even if the connection time is less than the standard MCT. However, if the passenger is feeling nervous, please check for the next available connecting flight based on the standard MCT.

Do you allow two or more tickets to be issued for one PNR?

That is not allowed. A Delta PNR allows for only one Delta ticket connection.

What is the ticketing time limit?

The time limit is set to the automatic ticketing time limit or the ticketing time limit for the fare, whichever comes first.

If there is a voluntary change to the schedule, can the initial fare be maintained?

-Changes to departure : Recalculate the fare and use the currently available fare
-Changes to the return flight : If only the return leg of the flight is changed, the previous fare is maintained (if it is a valid fare on the initial ticketing date)

If a refundable fare and non-refundable fare are combined, is the entire ticket non-refundable?

Non-refundable fares are non-refundable as stated, but the remaining amount may be refunded according to the fare policy.

If name changes are permitted, what is the procedure?

When a name is changed, the travel agent must enter an OSI message that the name has been changed.

OSI DL NAME CORRECTION TO FIRST/MIDDLE NAME ONLY
OSI DL NAME CORRECTION TO 3 LETTERS OF LAST NAME ONLY
OSI DL NAME CORRECTION ADDED SECOND NAME TO LAST NAME
OSI DL NAME CORRECTION FIRST AND LAST NAME INVERTED

Please refer to the Delta news release posted to the GDS on May 21, 2015.

What happens when an infant (younger than 24 months of age) becomes a child (24 months of age or older) during the trip?

For infants who turn 24 months of age or older during the trip, a child fare ticket must be purchased for the entire itinerary.

Are auto-refunds possible?

Auto-refunds is only possible in the case of the initial ticket booking. For a reissued ticket please proceed with the RA.
