TRAVEL EXCEPTION POLICY ADVISORY

ISSUED:   March 02, 2026, 10:50 AM ET

Delta is offering an exception for any customer with tickets issued on or before March 02, 2026 with impacted travel dates between February 28 and March 31, 2026*. Any un-flown DL/AF/KL-marketed segments for travel to/from TLV ticketed on DL006 that were scheduled during these impacted travel date(s) are eligible for refund. 

For Tickets Issued On or Before:

  • March 02, 2026

Impacted Travel Dates:

  • February 28 - March 31, 2026

For Travel to/from/through:

  • Tel Aviv, IL (TLV)

Waiver Codes and PNR Documentation*

  • Cabin to Cabin Waiver Code: R2S8G
  • Change Fee/Basic Economy Cancellation Charge Waiver Code: K6M4A

Used to waive change fee or Basic Economy cancellation charge, if applicable

  • PNR must be documented with OSI: CHANGES PER IL SEC 28FEB26

Waiver Code Placement:

  1. Place in the ticket designator field if no other ticket designator is being used
  2. If another ticket designator is being used, place in the tour code field
  3. If the tour code box is already in use, place in the first position of the endorsement box

New Travel Originates On or Before:

  • February 28, 2027

New Ticket Must be Rebooked and Reissued On or Before:

  • February 28, 2027

For Travel on:

  • Delta Mainline
  • Delta Connection
  • DL marketed/ AFKL operated
  • AFKL marketed/ DL operated

Ticket Stock:

  • DL006

Refunds and PNR Documentation*

Delta is offering an exception for any customer with tickets issued on or before March 02, 2026 with impacted travel dates between February 28 and March 31, 2026*. Any un-flown DL/AF/KL-marketed segments for travel to/from TLV ticketed on DL006 that were scheduled during these impacted travel date(s) are eligible for refund.

Wholly Unused Tickets

  • Travel agents may process a refund for wholly unused tickets in the GDS. Please ensure that all provisions of the refund exception are met; no waiver code or OSI message is needed.

Partially Used Tickets or Wholly unused Tickets Reissued by Delta 

In addition, if a customer’s flight is cancelled by Delta due to this event, and no other alternate flights are acceptable, travel agents may refund totally unused non-refundable ticket(s) through normal ARC/BSP processing.

Utilize the  Travel Agent Travel Exception Policy Online Refund  form to submit a qualifying refund request if:

  • A ticket has already been reissued by Delta or the ticket is partially used; or
  • Customer contacts Travel Agent directly to initiate the refund
