Delta, Junior Achievement Africa award scholarship to rising female leaders

Delta Air Lines and Junior Achievement Africa (JA Africa) award 12 young female leaders scholarships to Delta Girls LEAD! Camp in Accra, Ghana to hone their professional and personal leadership skills.
The scholarships were awarded during the National Company of the Year competition last November.
Recipients earned an all-expenses-paid scholarship to join 45 other young female leaders from Ghana, South Africa and Nigeria at the second annual Delta Girls LEAD! Camp next month.
The gathering will feature sessions led by Delta volunteers and notable women in various industries covering topics like personal branding, STEM careers and emotional intelligence. The workshops aim to cultivate critical soft skills crucial for overcoming prevalent professional obstacles.
“Partnering with JA Africa for the Girls LEAD! initiative demonstrates Delta’s devotion to opening doors for the next generation of female leaders to help them turn their potential into lasting impact,” Ed Bastian, CEO of Delta Air Lines, said. “We are honored to invest in them by providing the tools and confidence they need to excel in leadership and business.”
“Delta’s ongoing commitment is invaluable as we work together to propel Africa’s future leaders to success while challenging societal norms," Simi Nwogugu, President and CEO of JA Africa, said.
This partnership between Delta Air Lines and JA Africa further exemplifies their dedication to invest in the communities where we live, work and serve. In turn, ensuring an even better tomorrow through the foundational sustainable development work done today.
