Expanding Basic Economy Fares from Europe to Mexico
Delta is now offering Basic Economy Fares from Europe to Mexico (Europe Point-of-Sale only at this time). The expansion for trans-Atlantic travel comes as partners Air France-KLM, Alitalia and Virgin Atlantic each introduce a similar basic fare product across the Atlantic. The product aligns with the Basic Economy product offered in other trans-Atlantic markets, with a 60 USD/50 EUR first checked bag fee.
Expanding Basic Economy into additional markets is another way Delta is providing customers more choice and control in their travel. The product is designed for price-conscious customers who want Delta’s high-quality onboard experience but need less flexibility.
