Nonstop to Hollywood, Delta launches Amsterdam-Los Angeles flight

Delta has boosted its North American network from Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport by adding a new route to Los Angeles (LAX) on June 18, 2018. The airline’s 10th nonstop destination from the Netherlands – and second new route this summer - the flight will operate four times weekly, linking Amsterdam to Delta’s West Coast hub.

From thrill seekers to star spotters, holidaymakers will be spoiled for choice in Los Angeles. The city is home to the world-famous Hollywood Studios - and some of its most famous faces - plus many theme parks including Universal Studios, Legoland and Disneyland. Meanwhile, there are beautiful beaches in and around L.A, from the people watchers’ paradise of Venice Beach to the surfers’ favourites of Malibu, Zuma and Santa Monica.

Delta operates more than 170 daily flights and connects more passengers to its partner airlines via Los Angeles than anywhere else in the U.S.. The airline is investing in the airport through a $1.86 billion plan to modernize, upgrade and connect Terminals 2, 3, and the Tom Bradley International Terminal. Customers flying from Amsterdam to Los Angeles benefit from onward connections to popular destinations throughout the United States and beyond, including: Honolulu, San Diego, San Jose, San Francisco, Sacramento, Phoenix, Albuquerque and Tuscon.

Delta has scheduled a 291-seat Boeing 777-200 aircraft on the Los Angeles flight, which is timed to complement KLM’s existing daily services. Operated in conjunction with joint venture partners Air France KLM, Delta’s new service is scheduled to operate as follows:
