UPDATE: Delta waives fare difference for international tickets following new testing requirement   

Where: Travel from all international destinations to the U.S.
When: Travel originally scheduled through Feb. 16

Delta is extending its waiver to provide more flexibility for customers rebooking international tickets, following the U.S. government requirement for COVID-19 testing of all international arrivals beginning Jan. 26.

Delta will waive the fare difference for customers rebooking an international ticket purchased on or before Jan. 12, if the ticket was originally scheduled through Feb. 16. Customers must rebook their travel to begin on or before Feb. 1.

Under our existing change fee waiver, customers can already rebook their travel without a change fee. For more information, visit our waiver pages on the Coronavirus Update Center.

Following the U.S. government’s new requirement for COVID-19 testing for all international arrivals beginning Jan. 26, Delta has proactively issued a fare difference waiver for customers rebooking international tickets purchased on or before Jan. 12.

The fare difference will be waived for customers originally scheduled to travel internationally to the U.S. through Feb. 9, if they choose to rebook their travel to begin on or before Jan. 25.

Under Delta’s existing change fee waiver, customers can already rebook their travel without a change fee. For more information, visit delta.com.
