Fly smarter: Faster bag drop, security and connections
Delta customers flying from London Heathrow (LHR) to Atlanta (ATL) and onward to connecting Delta flights can now head straight to their connecting gate without reclaiming and rechecking their bags at U.S. customs. Thanks to cutting-edge tech and collaboration with U.K. government and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, customers save up to 25 minutes and enjoy a smoother journey.
In addition to the checked bag benefit, customers connecting in ATL from LHR on select flights can also bypass redundant TSA screenings and proceed to their connecting gate, saving up to 45 minutes. This offering will roll out to all LHR to ATL flights in the coming weeks. To qualify, Delta customers must be enrolled in Global Entry or use the Mobile Passport Control app.
