Tips for Pricing an Itinerary
If a reservation is booked correctly using the terms and conditions provided for Delta’s Agency Discount program (AD), the reservation should autoprice. If a reservation does not autoprice, it is possible that there may be something wrong with the way the reservation was booked or priced. Please keep the following helpful tips in mind when booking and pricing an AD reservation:
- All bookings must be made within 90 days of departure.
- Check to make sure the reservation is booked in the correct class of service for the fare to autoprice. Classes of service may differ for each carrier (DL or KL) or if the itinerary is domestic or international. See Booking Class section.
- Check the area of travel for the itinerary. See Area of Travel section.
- Check to make sure the routing used for the itinerary and carrier is a valid routing. See Area of Travel section.
- Make sure the reservation as booked using the following carriers:
- Delta-designated/Delta Operated
- Delta-designated/ KLM operated
- KLM-designated/KLM operated
- KLM-designated/Delta-operated
- When pricing, was the correct ticket designator used? The ticket designator is different for domestic and international itineraries. See Ticket Designator section.
- When pricing, was the correct pricing entry used? Please contact your GDS help desk for specific pricing entries for Delta’s Agency Discount program.
- Make sure to review the Reservations & Ticketing section of the AD program.
- If there is more than one fare segment, check to make sure the fare segments are combinable. See Combinability section.
- Check minimum/maximum stay requirements. They are different for domestic and international itineraries.
- Check to make sure the itinerary does not exceed the transfer limits. See Transfers section.
- Check to make sure the stopover and open jaw terms are correct. See Stopover/Open Jaw section.
If after checking all of the helpful tips above and checking with the GDS help desk for assistance with the pricing entry, the reservation still will not autoprice, please contact Global Sales Support or Delta Reservations for assistance.
