If you purchased a ticket in Delta Main or Delta Comfort, excluding the Delta Basic experience, you can switch to a confirmed seat on a new flight if a seat is available in your originally purchased fare class.  If you purchased a ticket in Delta First, Delta Premium Select or Delta One®, you can switch to a confirmed seat as long as a seat is available in the cabin purchased or you may change to a lower cabin if available.
