Delta requires customers to notify the airline prior to departure if they need to change or cancel their ticket to retain the value of their ticket. If a customer is a no-show and does not notify their travel agent or Delta of a change or cancellation prior to their departure, they will forfeit the value of their ticket.

Effective April 28, 2025 and in line with the Department of Transportation rules issued in April 2024 to assist airline passengers, Delta may offer a transferable travel credit valid for 5 years, or in Delta’s discretion, a refund to the original form of payment, in each case less a processing fee of $100, to assist passengers who are unable to travel due to a serious communicable disease. This policy applies to passengers who have booked to travel to, from, or within the U.S.
