Delta Wins 'Best Airline' in Inaugural Stella Awards

Delta has been voted the Best Airline for the Meeting, Conventions and Incentive industry by meeting planners and the readers of Meeting and Conventions and Successful Meetings in the inaugural Stella Awards. This is the first comprehensive awards program in the meetings industry.

The Stella honorees were recognized in various categories and regions in the United States and worldwide, exemplifying excellence in the meetings and business events industry, including the very best hotels, airlines, convention centers, conference centers, convention and visitor bureaus, destination marketing organizations, destination management companies and cruise lines.

“Our success in developing products to serve industry demand results from listening to customers’ needs. We heard loud and clear that a gap existed when managing corporate meeting travel,” said Kristen Shovlin, Vice President - Sales Operations and Development. “That’s why Delta launched Delta Edge Meetings – to save companies time and money.”

Delta Edge Meetings provides access to a simple booking process, flexible pricing and valuable benefits like Priority Boarding for meeting attendees, plus the option to receive detailed reporting and backend incentive payments. Delta Edge Meetings is the latest addition to Delta’s meeting portfolio which also includes Delta Meeting Network and SkyTeam Global Meetings.

“Congratulations to Delta Air Lines and the other winners of Northstar’s 2017 Stella Awards,” said David Blansfield, Executive Vice President and group publisher of Northstar Meetings Group. “Being acknowledged with a Stella Award is a seal of excellence, signifying that Delta delivers an exceptional meetings experience.”
