Delta Reduces Flying From Europe to the U.S. Including U.K. and Ireland Effective Tuesday, March 17

DELTA REDUCES FLYING FROM U.K. AND IRELAND
Following the U.S. travel directive expanding to the U.K. and Ireland, Delta will temporarily suspend service between London-Heathrow and Detroit starting Tuesday, March 17, and service between Dublin and New York-JFK startin Thursday, March 19. The airline will continue to fly the rest of its reduced trans-Atlantic schedule announced Friday.
SCHEDULE CHANGES
The last flight from Detroit to London-Heathrow departs Sunday, March 15. The last flight from London-Heathrow to Detroit will depart Monday, March 16.
The last flight from JFK to Dublin will depart Tuesday, March 17. The last flight from Dublin to JFK will depart Wednesday, March 18.
REDUCED SCHEDULE FROM EUROPE AND THE U.K.
Starting Tuesday, Delta will continue to operate one daily flight between the following cities:
- Amsterdam to Atlanta
- Amsterdam to Detroit
- London-Heathrow to Atlanta
- London-Heathrow to New York-JFK
- Paris-Charles De Gaulle to Atlanta
This schedule will continue to provide customers access to destinations throughout the U.S. from multiple cities across Europe through Delta’s expanded joint venture partnership with Air France, KLM and Virgin Atlantic. Air France and KLM plan to continue their own operations to CDC-designated U.S. airports and are closely coordinating with Delta and Virgin Atlantic as adjustments are made.

DELTA REDUCES EUROPE TO U.S FLYING
Delta will significantly reduce its Europe to U.S. flying beginning Tuesday, March 17, following the U.S. government directive restricting travel between the U.S. and Europe.
The airline will continue to operate a nearly full schedule of flights from continental Europe to multiple U.S. gateways through Monday, March 16, to ensure eligible customers can return to Europe or to the U.S.
Starting Tuesday, March 17, Delta will operate one daily flight between the following cities:
- Amsterdam to Atlanta
- Amsterdam to Detroit
Dublin to New York-JFK- Cancelled -- London-Heathrow to Atlanta
London-Heathrow to Detroit- Cancelled -- London-Heathrow to New York-JFK
- Paris-Charles De Gaulle to Atlanta

DELTA SUSPENDS MUMBAI TO U.S FLYING
Delta will also temporarily suspend service between Mumbai and New York-JFK starting Tuesday, March 17. The last flight from New York-JFK to Mumbai will operate Saturday, March 14. The last flight from Mumbai to New York-JFK will operate Monday, March 16.
The airline will continue to evaluate customer demand and adjust service as needed.
CONTINUED SERVICE TO AFRICA
Delta will continue to fly to the U.S. from South Africa, Ghana, Senegal and Nigeria as scheduled:
- Johannesburg, South Africa to Atlanta
- Lagos, Nigeria to Atlanta
- Accra, Ghana to New York-JFK
- Dakar, Senegal to New York-JFK
- Lagos, Nigeria to New York-JFK
FLIGHT CHANGES
Delta has waived change fees for customers traveling to, from or through Europe and the U.K. through May 31. Details are available on delta.com.
To help address customers with immediate travel needs, Delta is asking those who do not have travel in the next 72 hours to wait and contact the airline closer to their trip.
CAPPED FARES
Delta has capped one-way fares, inclusive of all cabins, for travel to and from Europe that extend through March 22. These fare caps apply to Delta and partner-operated flights.
PROVIDING A SAFE AND CLEAN ENVIRONMENT

The airline is regularly disinfecting check-in kiosks, ticket counters, gate areas, jetbridges, and more multiple times a day. The airline is also expanding its cleaning program, adding a fogging process to disinfect all transoceanic flights.
