Delta Celebrates 40 Years in the U.K.
It’s 40 years since Delta’s very first flight to London Gatwick flew from New Orleans via Atlanta using a Lockheed L-1011-200 TriStar aircraft.
In May 1978, flares, platforms and perms were in, Boney M topped the charts and nobody could have predicted how air travel would change over the decades.
