Delta Celebrates 40 Years in the U.K.

Delte celebrates 40 years in the U.K.

It’s 40 years since Delta’s very first flight to London Gatwick flew from New Orleans via Atlanta using a Lockheed L-1011-200 TriStar aircraft.

In May 1978, flares, platforms and perms were in, Boney M topped the charts and nobody could have predicted how air travel would change over the decades.

Fast forward to 2018 and Delta has transformed the travel experience, offering customers a wide range of onboard amenities and a vast global network from the U.K.
