Delta scoops “Best Airline for Business Travellers – Long-haul” in European Mission Awards

European Mission Award recipients on stage

Delta retained its title as the leading long-haul airline for business travellers at the second edition of the European Mission Awards, held in Florence, Italy on 2 October. It is the second consecutive year that the airline has been named “Best Airline for Business Travellers – Long-haul” at the prestigious awards.

Mission Magazine is the leading business travel publication in Italy and its awards, which date back to 2013, cover everything from account management, accommodation and car hire, to airlines, sustainability and travel technology. Entries are judged by a panel of the magazine’s editorial team and senior corporate travel executives, before travel managers across Europe are invited to vote for shortlisted nominees.

The award comes on the back of Delta’s record-setting summer on the trans-Atlantic and recent announcement of new services between the U.S. and Europe next year, including Naples, Italy; Zurich, Switzerland; and Shannon, Ireland.

Next summer, Delta will ramp up flying between Italy and the United States to more than 100 weekly services. In addition to the new Naples route, Delta will fly a comprehensive schedule of nonstop flights from Rome Fiumicino to Atlanta, Boston, Detroit and New York-JFK and from Milan Malpensa to Atlanta and New York-JFK. Meanwhile, from Venice Marco Polo, Delta will offer up to 10 weekly services to New York and Atlanta, three more than last year.
