Delta and Virgin Atlantic to launch FlyReady

AN EASY-TO-USE DIGITAL EXPERIENCE TO VERIFY ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

This summer, Delta and Virgin Atlantic customers traveling between the U.S. and U.K. will be among the first to use Delta FlyReadySM, a new digital health credential solution that will help take the guesswork out of meeting entry requirements during international travel. Here’s what you need to know about the new tool:

  • Integrated into Delta systems, with no additional app downloads required
  • Assists customers in scheduling a COVID-19 test that meets destination requirements and automatically verifies their test results, confirming that they have met the necessary testing requirements in place at their destination*
  • Vaccination credentials will be integrated into Delta FlyReady later this summer - great news for customers looking to travel to Delta FlyReady-eligible destinations that require proof of vaccination for entry in the future
  • Delta automatically links FlyReady status to itinerary, so travelers know they’re ready to go**
  • Built on trusted health standards and designed to adapt to changing landscape as more markets reopen

Delta hopes to expand Delta FlyReady availability to additional routes as more international destinations reopen later this summer. Virgin Atlantic plans to begin testing the solution, adapted as Virgin Atlantic FlyReadySM , on Virgin Atlantic-operated flights between London Heathrow and U.S. cities starting in June.

It’s important to note: Travel Agents must include the traveler e-mail address at the time of booking in order for the traveler to access the FlyReady℠ experience. The traveler will receive an email 7 days before their flight, directing them to delta.com where they can access the Delta FlyReady℠ experience. Bookings without an e-mail address or bookings with an Agency e-mail address will require travelers to manually verify their test results with an agent at the airport.

* Governments may require additional documentation for entry in addition to proof of a negative COVID-19 test. For a full list of entry requirements at your destination, visit delta.com.

** Customers using Delta FlyReady should still bring paper copies of their test results and other required documentation with them on the day of travel per requirements in place at certain destinations. Delta FlyReady status is not accepted in lieu of other government-required documentation.
