It’s The 4th Year Of A Great Partnership

DL KE JV

In 2018, Delta Air Lines and Korean Air launched their transpacific joint venture, and they are now celebrating four years of great teamwork that’s produced the most successful collaboration of its kind.

It’s weathered a variety of storms, not the least of which was the COVID-caused collapse of transpacific travel. But Delta and Korean Air are global leaders and while impacted by COVID restraints, the airlines still managed to establish the industry’s most comprehensive partnership.

They have incorporated a slew of actions including new gateways, co-locations, and positioning Incheon as the best Asian hub. Makes sense, since ⅓ of the world’s population is within a 3.5-hour flight, giving Incheon and this JV a decided geographical advantage.

During the past four years, Delta and Korean Air have:

·  Expanded code sharing and joint growth in the transpacific market

·  Established joint sales and marketing initiatives in Asia and the United States

·  Co-located at key hubs with seamless passenger and baggage transit experience

·  Enhanced frequent flyer benefits, providing customers of both airlines the ability to earn and redeem miles on Delta’s SkyMiles and Korean Air’s SKYPASS programs

·  Offered reciprocal access to Delta Sky Clubs and Korean Air airport lounges

·  Increased cargo cooperation across the trans-pacific markets

Stay tuned for more news about customer benefits, quick connections, and impressive service from these two airlines as they continue to build equity in their partnership.
