Changes to Delta’s Baggage Embargo Policy for Manila, Montego Bay, Cartagena and Tegucigalpa   

Below is an outline of recent changes made to Delta’s Baggage Embargo policy. The recent changes may affect customers traveling to/from Manila, Philippines (MNL), Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ), Cartagena, Columbia (CTG) and Tegucigalpa, Honduras (TGU).  

Manila, Philippines (MNL)

Effective September 20, 2017, Delta shortened the period of the baggage embargo between Manila, Philippines (MNL) and the United States, Canada or Mexico from November 16 through January 16 to December 15 through January 15, for tickets issued on/after September 20, 2017.

Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ) and Cartagena, Columbia (CTG)

Effective October 4, 2017, Delta removed the seasonal embargo placed on Montego Bay, Jamaica (MBJ) and Cartagena, Columbia (CTG). Customers traveling on/after October 4, 2017, to/from MBJ and CTG will be allowed to check more than 2 bags, subject to applicable checked bag and overweight fees, for all ticketing dates.

Tegucigalpa, Honduras (TGU)

Effective October 13, 2017, Delta extended the current baggage embargo to Tegucigalpa, Honduras (TGU), to be year-round (southbound routes only).  Customers ticketed on/after October 13, 2017, will be limited to a maximum of 2 checked bags, with checked bags weighing 51-70 lbs. subject to excess baggage charges. No bags over 70 lbs. or 62 linear inches will be accepted.
