Delta has been committed to Japan for nearly 70 years since first inaugurating flights to Japan in 1947
Delta offers flights to 6 U.S. mainland gateway cities (Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Detroit and Atlanta), 4 resort destinations (Honolulu, Guam, Saipan and Palau), and 4 cities in Asia (Manila, Shanghai, Singapore and Taipei).
Delta operates flights from Tokyo-Narita, Tokyo-Haneda, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka.

Our Japan-U.S. routes feature the same superior products and services customers have come to know us for, including:
- 180-degree flat-bed seats with direct aisle access featuring Westin Heavenly® In-flight bedding in our Delta One™ cabin
- ‘Kaiseki’ style meals are offered as an option in the Delta One cabin and entrees with a Japanese flair are offered as an option in the main cabin
- A selection of Japanese beverages including; Asahi, Suntory Premium Malt, Kirin Ichiban beers and Sake
- Upgraded Main Cabin meals, plus Häagen Dazs®, Ben & Jerry's® or Magnum® ice cream and a hot tortilla on board
- Slippers for Main Cabin passengers on transpacific flights to and from Japan
- Starbucks coffee is offered on Delta flights in all cabins

- Japanese speaking flight attendants on all Japan flights and Japanese speaking ground staff at U.S. major hubs

Together with the existing Delta Comfort+™ and Main Cabin amenities, which include an eye mask, a pair of earplugs and a full-size bottle of water following meal service, the newly-added slippers and upgraded blankets will further improve the comfort for customers seated in Delta Comfort+ and the main cabin.
Flying from Japan
Delta’s extensive Japan route network offers flights to major U.S. cities where customers can connect to over 250 U.S. destinations and beyond.
Delta Air Lines daily flights from Tokyo-Haneda to Minneapolis flights provide extensive connections to over 110 U.S. and Canadian destinations. Both Haneda direct flights will operate using a 291-seat Boeing 777-200 aircraft with 37 seats in Delta One, 36 seats in Delta Comfort+, and 218 seats in the Main Cabin.

Community affairs
Delta is the No.1 U.S. airline operating in the Japan market. ‘Giving back to the community we serve’ describes Delta’s strong willingness to work with the community and to contribute to the local cities where our employees and customers are living and working.
Delta’s SkyWish charity program is part of Delta’s frequent flyer program where customers can choose to donate miles to their preferred NGOs and NPOs. Under the SkyWish charity program, there are 11 charity partners with 8 based in Japan. These organizations use donated miles to support children in need, establishes schools and provides educational programs to children.
The airline also supports ‘Relay for Life’ activities at airports and local walking events in Japan.
As part of its community affairs activities, Delta has been actively partnering with educational institutions worldwide. In Japan, Delta supports Japanese students and business people in study programs in the U.S. through various sponsorships including the Fulbright scholarship. In 2016, Delta reached an agreement with Waseda University and Doshisha University to support their study abroad programs which are designed to foster U.S.-Japan relationships.
Delta is the official airline of professional golfers Hiroyuki Fujita, Chie Arimura, as well as MLB Japan, and is the official supporting company of the Tokyo Yomiuri Giants.
