Delta Comfort Basic: Travel Experience
Delta Comfort Basic, launching November 6th on limited Delta marketed and operated domestic flights with minimal corporate bookings, is a travel experience within the Delta Comfort product line.
Delta Comfort Basic offers a lower fare than our Classic or Extra experiences, and with added restrictions.
Similar to Delta Main Basic, seats for Delta Comfort Basic will be assigned after check-in. Cancelations or changes are allowed for a fee.

Note: Delta Sky Club is only accessible for those customers with valid entry credentials such as Delta Sky Club membership or a qualifying credit card.

Delta Comfort Basic: Restrictions
Seat assignments are available for purchase starting thirty days before departure until 24 hours prior to departure; pricing will vary per trip and may be purchased segment by segment. Otherwise, seat assignments are only available after check-in or at the gate for no fee.
Ticket changes are available for a fee; please reference the fare rules for complete information regarding changes and cancellation.
Not eligible for same-day confirmed or same-day standby travel changes (regardless of Medallion or other elite status).

The booking code for Delta Comfort Basic fares will be W or S class. The information below will help you to identify a Delta Comfort Basic fare:

Fare Suppression
Agencies or corporate accounts may elect to suppress or inhibit Delta Comfort Basic fares from their customer booking tools. Corporate customers desiring to suppress or inhibit Delta Comfort Basic fares should contact their agency. Agencies with questions on the latest suppression capabilities provided by a GDS should contact their GDS provider.

Having a seat assignment is important to the customer. Is it possible to purchase a seat assignment when the customer has purchased a Delta Comfort Basic fare?
Yes, seat assignments are available for purchase starting thirty days before departure until 24 hours prior to departure; pricing will vary per trip and may be purchased segment by segment. Otherwise, seats will be assigned for free after check-in. Seat assignments may be purchased on delta.com, via Global Sales Solutions, or by contacting Delta Reservations.
For Delta Comfort Basic, what is the checked baggage allowance?
The checked baggage allowance for Delta Comfort Basic is the same as Delta Comfort Classic.
Will complimentary upgrades into Delta Comfort still be available to Medallion Members purchasing a Delta Main Classic or Extra fare?
Yes, complimentary upgrades will still be available, subject to seat availability. As we roll out this experience, we will monitor feedback from our Medallion Members closely.
Will I still receive my Corporate Priority benefits?
Yes (however the Delta Comfort Basic experience is not eligible for upgrades or upgrade priority).
What happens if we accidentally purchase a Delta Comfort Basic fare, and the customer prefers Delta Comfort Classic or Delta Comfort Extra?
If you are still within your void window, we recommend that you void the ticket. Book a new reservation and issue a new ticket at a Delta Comfort Classic or Delta Comfort Extra fare. If you are not within your void window, book a new reservation in Delta Comfort Classic or Delta Comfort Extra and reissue the ticket collecting the applicable fee and fare difference.
