KLM to Reintroduce 074 Ticket Stock in U.S. and Canada
KLM will reintroduce 074 ticket stock in the U.S. and Canada, effective August 1, 2018. With this change, KLM itineraries or interline itineraries where KLM is the outbound fare-owning carrier will default to plating on 074 in the GDS. This change follows the same process as when 074 ticket stock was reintroduced in Mexico in 2017.
The benefits of this change include greater flexibility to:
- Sell KLM ancillary products (seats and bags) using EMDs in their GDS – seat products include Economy Comfort, seats with extra leg-room, Preferred Seats and Standard Seat Selection.
- Use revalidation in case of voluntary changes when no change fee applies or when involuntary changes are made (on AF and KL)
- Rebook/Reissue (using the KLM Standard Schedule Change Handling guidelines) without a waiver code in case of schedule changes
