Delta's Hub at Incheon International Airport First in Asia Pacific to Receive Health Accreditation

Incheon International Airport, the hub of the Delta and Korean Air joint venture, has received Airport Health Accreditation  under the Airports Council International program . Incheon Airport is the first in the Asia-Pacific region to receive this recognition, a testament to the efforts of Incheon, in partnership with Delta and Korean Air.

This accreditation underscores Incheon's commitment to health and safety that aligns with ACI Aviation Business Restart and Recovery guidelines and ICAO Council Aviation Restart Task Force recommendations. Areas of assessment included cleaning and disinfection, physical distancing, staff protection, physical layout, passenger communications and passenger facilities.

In partnership with Incheon, the Delta/Korean Air joint venture is focused on providing the safest customer experience and restoring customers' confidence in air travel. In this shared mission, Delta and Korean Air have introduced new standards of care with Delta CareStandardSM  and Care First , respectively. Each program focuses on travel safety measures and multiple layers of protection throughout the passenger journey.

"Delta, Korean Air, and Incheon Airport are working closely to align our health and safety measures for every step of the customers' travel journey," said Matteo Curcio, Delta's V.P. – Asia Pacific. "With Incheon International Airport accredited by the ACI Asia-Pacific, we can offer the safest travel experience for customers who travel to Asia via Incheon."

At Delta's hub at Incheon, customers can connect on Delta's current flights from Atlanta, Detroit and Seattle to over 70 destinations throughout Asia via our joint venture partner Korean Air. In April 2021, Delta plans to return to service between Minneapolis and Incheon. Currently, Delta also operates four weekly flights to Shanghai from Detroit and Seattle via Incheon.
