BOS-LGA Delta Shuttle Resumes Hourly Service

For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began, hourly Delta Shuttle® flights will operate daily between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA), offering the most conveniently timed and premium service of any carrier between these key business markets.

Starting in January 2022, service between BOS and LGA will operate 16 times a day on peak days, using a mix of Embraer E-175 regional jets and Delta mainline aircraft including the Airbus A220, ensuring travelers have a wide array of options for whatever best suits their needs. Delta will also be the only U.S. airline offering a First Class cabin for business travelers on this route. Customers will also have more time to check in, up to 15 minutes prior to departure.

BOS-LGA customers will have access to benefits including:

  • Check-in as close as 15 minutes prior to departure without bags or 30 minutes with checked bags
  • Boarding up to 5 minutes prior to departure
  • Consistent gates
  • Expedited security options for qualifying customers via Clear® and dedicated TSA PreCheck® lanes
  • Complimentary onboard snacks and beverages

New Routes, New Planes & More Choice in Boston

Delta is Boston’s No. 1 global airline and continues to build a premiere hub and international gateway. Currently, customers have access to up to 120 daily flights to nearly 40 destinations, with new service to Charlotte and Dallas/Ft. Worth that launched in October. By summer 2022, capacity will increase by more than 20% from our pre-pandemic height, with up to 160 daily nonstop flights to 55 destinations.

As part of our fleet renewal plans, Delta is also welcoming the first Airbus A321neos into our fleet in spring 2022, with the first customer flights scheduled to depart out of Boston. Delta will also double the number of Airbus A220 departures to at least 20 flights next year, expanding the modern, spacious aircraft to more business markets like Nashville and Raleigh-Durham.

State-of-the-Art LGA Experience

Delta is building a world-class airport experience at LGA, and continues working toward opening its new headhouse, roadways, and second concourse in spring 2022. It’s part of a $3.9 billion program, in partnership with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), to redevelop the travel experience at LGA and consolidate Terminals C and D into one brand-new, state-of-the-art facility. The entire four-concourse terminal will be fully complete by the end of 2024, almost two years earlier than originally planned, due to accelerated construction during the pandemic.

Delta will offer the most flights and seats of any carrier at LGA and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), with 400 total daily departures to 92 domestic and international destinations. Every Delta flight at LGA will now offer a First Class experience, due to the removal of smaller regional aircraft from all NYC markets. Additional Delta Shuttle flights offer connectivity to other important business markets, including 9 nonstop flights each way between LGA and Washington, D.C. (DCA), and 10 nonstop flights each way between LGA and Chicago (ORD).

Delta is giving customers more ways to look forward to the return of travel, including new opportunities to navigate the airport hands- and device-free from curb to claim and more destinations to plan future trips.

Delta continues to make investments in key business markets to give customers the elevated experience, convenience and service they expect – all underpinned by our science-backed health and safety efforts.
