Reminder: Delta Requires an eTicket for Lap Infants on Domestic Itineraries

To align with an industry standard to improve safety and security among U.S. carriers and to provide a more complete manifest of all passengers onboard, Delta Air Lines requires the issuance of an eTicket for lap infants on domestic itineraries for flights operated by Delta and Delta Connection®.

Travel Agency Requested Action
To ensure a seamless experience for our mutual customers traveling with a lap infant on a domestic itinerary, travel agents are asked to:

  • Add an infant SSR (INFT) for each lap infant in the PNR to indicate an “infant in arms” is traveling
  • Issue an infant eTicket at zero value
    • The process and information needed should be the same as what your GDS requires for issuing infant eTickets on international itineraries
    • If needed, please refer to your particular GDS Help Desk, as procedures may vary by GDS

Additional information regarding Infant eTickets is available on the Policy Library tab of the Delta Professional Travel Agency website.

Global Sales Support and Delta Reservations are available to assist with issuing domestic infant eTickets, if necessary. Contact Global Sales Support or Delta Reservations if you have any additional questions.
