Important info for customers with upcoming travel departing London Heathrow (LHR)

Due to operating constraints announced at London Heathrow (LHR), customers’ travel experience may be impacted. To help customers navigate the airport, Delta is advising the following:

Arrive early

Airport security wait times at LHR are currently longer than normal. Customers are advised to arrive at least three hours prior to their scheduled flight’s departure allow for enough time to clear the queues.

Go digital

For a faster check-in, customers are encouraged to check-in online or through the FlyDelta app and complete their U.S. attestation and contact tracing forms via Delta FlyReady prior to arriving at the airport.

Customers flying in Delta One can proceed directly to the Upper Class Wing on arrival at the airport.

Bag drop

Bags cannot be checked-in or paid for using a self-service kiosk; customers with checked baggage need to see a check-in agent.

Be prepared

If a customer’s final destination is not the United States, additional travel restrictions may apply. Customers can verify any additional entry requirements for their final destination on Delta's Destination & Travel Requirements page.

More details about COVID-19 testing can be found on Delta’s Testing Resources page as well as specific travel requirements on Delta's Destination & Travel Requirements page.

Travel waiver

If customers would prefer to travel on an alternative date, this waiver can be applied.

If they wish to cancel, their original ticket number becomes an eCredit that can be used for future travel with Delta. Miles redeemed toward SkyMiles award travel may be redeposited.
