Basic Economy Expansion in Latin America
Effective Feb. 10, Delta will expand Basic Economy for travel between the U.S. and Lima, Peru (LIM); Santiago, Chile (SCL); and Buenos Aires, Argentina (EZE). The continued expansion of Basic Economy in Latin America is part of Delta's ongoing effort to make the fare product available in more international markets.
Delta will charge a first and second bag fee for Basic Economy travelers in these markets. Passengers who purchase Basic Economy tickets on or after Feb. 10 between the U.S. and LIM, SCL, or EZE, will be charged 60 USD for the first checked bag and 100 USD for the second checked bag. Main Cabin passengers in these markets will not be assessed a first or second bag fee.
