Delta Receives Inaugural 2022 ASTA Green Partner in Travel Award

Delta Air Lines’ sustainability initiatives were recently recognized by the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) as Delta was named the recipient of ASTA’s first-ever Green Partner in Travel Award. The award is focused on the three key pillars of sustainability – economic, environment and social, and the science-based steps and transparent progress Delta’s made towards its sustainability goals.

Delta has accelerated its efforts to build a sustainable future for air travel and continues to invest wisely in disruptive solutions. Guided by the belief that you and your travelers shouldn’t have to choose between seeing and saving the world, Delta is driving forward to achieve emissions targets in line with the climate science underpinning the Paris Agreement.

In March 2020, Delta set a bold vision and began its journey toward achieving net zero aviation. Today, Delta’s vision of the path forward is centered on a long-term strategy of decarbonization, through a portfolio of short-, medium-, and long-term actions. This will include growing the availability of sustainable aviation fuel, increasing efficiency, making improvements across the operation beyond jet fuel, and partnership and innovation to push forward next-generation technology.

Through it all, Delta is committed to transparency and accountability, empowering partners and their travelers to track its sustainability progress through its yearly Environmental, Social and Governance Report.
